The Fire Fighters were here on October 15. They spoke to the children about “tools” and
“toys”. Things that they can touch and things that, if they find, they should tell a grownup and not touch. They talked about fire alarms and how important they are to have in your home. An escape plan for your family in case of fire is important as well(and you should practice it). They showed the children what a fire fighters wears. The Children got to see the fire truck and walk through it.
The parent Association has purchased ultraviolet replacements bulbs and a new system was installed in Group 5 Classroom. The Puro - Air system sits directly on the air conditioner air handler. This System kills 99% of microorganisms stemming from mold, allergens, and airborne bacteria’s. In September 2007, the Parent Association paid to have these installed in all the rooms that preschool uses. These ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI ) lamps have been used to disinfect hospitals for many years. Puro-Air
would be willing to come to our center and give a presentation to parents that are interested in having this system installed in their home. If you are interested, please let us know in the office and we will schedule it.
