Monday , February 22, Angelika Pedroso DDS did a great job of telling the children about dental health. Thanks for the new Toothbrushes and for coming to talk to us! On Wednesday, February 24, Michelle Balistreri RN was here to do vision screening on the children. We did not screen the 2 year old children in group 1,2, or 3. They were unable to cooperate with the screening procedure. We will try again when they are 3 years old. If there was a concern with your child’s vision screening, you have been contacted. Otherwise nothing was noted from the screening.

We hope you liked the portraits and the backpacks. We will have group composites available in a few weeks. Re-registration for currently enrolled children has begun. All forms and fees need to be in by March 15, 2010. Those interested in kindergarten at St. Patrick School need to contact the school office at 305-534-4616 for registration information.

The staff will be administering the “Ages and Stages Questionnaire” to the children during the month of March. Parent/Teaching staff conferences will begin April 14.

The Family Picnic is Saturday, March 13 at Muss Park. This is a fun Filled day, Games, Face painting, bounce houses and a picnic lunch. ALL FOR FREE! You will need to fill out the form that you will get in the mailbox on Tuesday and bring it to the preschool office to get your TICKETS. You need to bring the tickets to park that day to exchange for a bracelet. It’s a fun Family event that you won’t want to miss.

Easter Parties will be on Wednesday, March 31. We are looking for families from each class to volunteer to host their child’s class. The parties are outside and we are looking for a fenced in yard (no access to pools). Everyone will be asked to bring something to the party. More information will be sent out later in the month.

Each Group has a garden box in front of the John Ingraham Building. If you or a family member has any suggestions or would like to help us out, let your child’s teacher know.
