 In order to baptize a baby at
St. Patrick Church, the parents of the baby must be registered at the Parish for a minimum of 6 (six) months, be active members of the Church, and use the Parish envelopes. Baptisms are celebrated every Sunday at 2:00pm. The first Sunday of every month is held in Spanish and the following Sundays in English. A maximum of five infants are acceptable for every Sunday. It is necessary that the celebration of Baptism be properly prepared. Baptism celebrates a family’s and community’s experience of God’s love.
PARENTS PREPARATION AND OBLIGATIONS
A child is not admitted to baptism without the consent of both parents. At lease one of the parents must be a practicing Catholic. |

GODPARENTS PREPARATION AND OBLIGATIONS
Two god parents are required, one of each sex. At least one of the godparents must be a practicing Catholic. The other one may be non-catholic.
Both god parents need to attend Baptism class. See below for Baptism classes at
St. Patrick Church.
Church law stipulates that godparents must be at least sixteen years old. One of the godparents must have received the received the sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation and must be a practicing Catholic. If one of the godparents cannot be present in person, he or she may appoint another person to represent him or her. |

DONATION
The donation is $200.00 and is due when you complete the registration form for baptism. Please bring the donation to the Parish Office. |

BAPTISM CLASSES
Baptism classes at St. Patrick Church are held the last Tuesday of every month in English and the last Wednesday of every month in Spanish. Both classes are at
7:00p.m. on the second floor of Barry Hall. Barry Hall is located 3703 N. Meridian Ave. This is located behind the church, next to the parking lot and is surrounded by a white fence.
When classes are taken in another Parish, a certificate or statement from that church must be presented stating the date of the class. |

REGISTRATION FOR BAPTISM
The baby is not considered registered for Baptism until ALL requirements are fulfilled, and then the date for the baptism will be confirmed. It is your responsibility to make sure all the requirements are completed at the stipulated times. |
